An Arts & Sciences competition for artisans 12 years of age or less will take place during the Barony of Bryn Gwlad's upcoming Candlemas event, which is scheduled for Saturday, February 2nd. The competition is not themed; participants may enter any A&S project of their choosing.

The prize will be the "tabletop" nine-pins set seen at left, presented in an inscribed, decorated wooden box.

If you intend to enter this competition, you need to print out and complete the documentation form, which can be downloaded as a jpeg or in PDF. If you have additional documentation (like pictures of similar things from the Middle Ages or Renaissance, photos of the project in progress, or more information about how you made it or how it's different from the ones used in the Middle Ages or Renaissance than would fit on the form), please bring that, as well. But don't write it on the back of the form.

Bring your entry to the hall no later than 11:00 a.m. on the day of the competition. You will have a three-foot-square section of table on which to set up your display (unless you have, in advance, contacted Lady Pamphilene of Mistra, who is organizing the A&S displays at the event, to request floor space or a larger section of table). Judging will be complete by 3:00 p.m., and you need to collect your entry and clear the table at that time. The winner of the contest will be announced in evening court.

Here is an example of what a completed documentation form might look like:
